Spookin Whizkey
If you are looking to turn heads wherever you go, take a look at Spookin Whizkey, aka Whiz! This 4-year-old buckskin gelding is not only eye catching, but he is a joy to be around, and a pleasure to ride.
Whiz is bred for greatness. His sire is the legendary Whizkey N Diamonds-LTE $224,020 and PE in excess of 2.8 million. His dam Boomin Spook was sired by the great Spooks Gotta Gun-LTE $81,000+ and PE over 3 million. With a pedigree like that it’s not a surprise that Whiz is so outstanding.
Whiz spent 3 months of his 2-year-old year with Shawn Flarida before entering our program later that spring. It has been a joy spending 2 years with Whiz. Training him, watching him grow and improve both mentally as well as physically.
Whiz is deaf, but don’t think this is a disadvantage for him in any way. He doesn’t spook over strange noises on the trail or in the show pen. His focus on the trail obstacles or when you’re doing cow work is much greater. He doesn’t get distracted when there is a job or task in front of him. He is also more attentive and in tune with the feel of the rider.
Whiz is paid up in the Riata Buckle. He has the foundation you need to take him a little further to chase down that big payday. We have hauled Whiz to VRH shows. He has all the maneuvers and outstanding cow sense. Whiz has also spent a lot of time riding out in the pasture and timber. He has seen a wide variety of terrain and handled it all like a pro. Whether you want to go on a leisurely trail ride or have to check and move cows, Whiz is a great partner to have.
Whiz is up to date on worming and vaccinations and is 100% sound. He loads in both a slant and stock trailer. He ties, bathes and clips with no issues. If Whiz is the one for you give Terry and Kate a call at 563-212-4686. We would love to visit with you about Whiz.

Chromed Out Whiz
Chromed Out Whiz aka Cruz is an absolutely stunning palomino gelding. If his color doesn’t make you fall for him, his disposition will. Whether you’re on the ground or in the saddle he is a joy to be around.
On the ground Cruz is an absolute gentleman. He stands like a rock to be saddled and mounted. He will also pick you up from the mounting block or fence. He stands great for the farrier, groomed, and loves to be bathed and pampered. He is a big puppy dog who really enjoys being loved on, but is also respectful of your space. He will back up with just a little wiggle of the lead rope. He ties wherever you put him, and hobbles. He loads in both a slant and stock trailer without any trouble.
When it comes to riding, Cruz is a wonderful partner. He rides around with an easy one hand neck rein, responds to leg queues, moving his shoulders, hips or side pass with ease. He makes opening and shutting gates while mounted no problem. Cruz knows his leads and has a nice flying lead change.
Cruz is great on the trail, whether you’re with other horses or alone. He goes wherever you point him, no matter if it’s an easy trail, steep rocky hill, ditch, creek or tangled up deadfall. Deer, turkey, my dog running in and of the brush, skid loaders, side by sides or bikes, Cruz handles all the trail challenges with ease.
If you’re looking for an outstanding equine partner to head out on your next adventure with, take a look at Cruz. Call Terry and Kate at 563-212-4686 and we would be happy to visit with you about Cruz.
